From Chaos to Control: Reinventing Inventory for Supplement Superstores
Description
Supplement Superstores and its manufacturing arm, 1st Phorm, are a thriving health and fitness retail business with over 25 locations and a 185,000-square-foot distribution warehouse. Renowned for promoting healthier lifestyles and offering premium nutritional supplements, the company has grown from humble beginnings into a multi-million-dollar operation.
To support this growth, we spearheaded the design of a modern inventory management system to replace outdated, spreadsheet-based tracking. The system streamlined inventory coordination across retail locations and the warehouse. A robust desktop application enabled managers to oversee inventory, monitor trends, and manage vendor relationships. It also introduced precise stock tracking with an aisle-row-bin system and expiration monitoring, minimizing waste and ensuring product freshness.
Complementing this was a mobile app designed for warehouse staff and delivery drivers, simplifying tasks like order picking, transfers, and damage reporting. This end-to-end solution addressed critical pain points such as expired stock, inventory errors, and operational inefficiencies, resulting in reduced waste, faster order fulfillment, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
